Angela Carter is a highly influential female writer in contemporary British literature. Her works are rich in female Gothic elements. This paper delves into Carter's works to explore the specific manifestations, presentation methods of these elements, as well as the creative intentions and cultural significance behind them. The study reveals that through unique environmental, character, and imagery elements, Carter's works showcase the plight and resistance of women in a patriarchal society, challenge traditional gender concepts, give voice to women, promote the development of feminism, and have had a profound impact on contemporary literature and social concepts.
