A Review of Audio-lingual Methods

As one of the international foreign language teaching schools, the audio-lingual method plays an undeniable role in second language teaching. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive study on audio-lingual method. This review will summarize the concepts, theoretical foundations, and related research of audio-lingual method. On this basis, this review comments on its advantages and disadvantages, and provides suggestions for the future application of audio-lingual methods in second language teaching.
