Abstract

Young children's social-emotional competencies are core competencies for their lifelong development. They encompass key dimensions such as emotional cognition and regulation, social interaction, prosocial behavior, and self-management, directly impacting their mental health, interpersonal relationships, and future social adaptability. Current preschool education tends to prioritize knowledge transfer over emotional development. This, coupled with biased parenting practices and insufficient home-school/community collaboration, has hindered the systematic development of young children's social-emotional competencies. Based on the "Guidelines for Learning and Development of Children Aged 3-6," this article, combined with literature analysis and practical experience, explores practical paths for "life-oriented integration, game-based approaches, and collaborative promotion" within the three core contexts of kindergarten, family, and community. Furthermore, it constructs a three-dimensional support system: "institutional-professional-resource"—a plan designed to provide preschool educators and parents with actionable solutions, helping them develop positive and stable emotional qualities and strong social skills, laying the foundation for their all-round development.
