Abstract

With the rapid development of digital technology, traditional cultural art forms are facing unprecedented development opportunities. Taking traditional calligraphy and seal cutting as the research object, this paper discusses how digital technology empowers traditional calligraphy and seal cutting art, so as to realise its inheritance and development in the context of the new era. Firstly, the basic concepts of digital technology and traditional calligraphy seal cutting are outlined, and the necessity of combining the two is analysed. Secondly, the advantages of digital technology empowering traditional calligraphy seal cutting are elaborated in detail from the aspects of innovating the expression, improving the efficiency of seal cutting, broadening the dissemination channels and promoting the art inheritance. Then, through practical case studies, the effectiveness of the application of digital technology in the field of traditional calligraphy seal carving is verified. Then, it discusses the challenges faced in the process of digital technology empowerment and puts forward corresponding strategies to cope with them. Finally, it looks forward to the future development trend of digital technology empowering traditional calligraphy and seal carving to provide reference for research in related fields.
