Abstract

As a traditional pedagogy, the Natural Approach still plays an important role in teaching English nowadays. English language learning emphasizes meaningful input, and the theoretical basis of Natural Approach on second language acquisition fits this point. Therefore, this paper is divided into four parts to study the application of Natural Approach in English, the first part is the background of the study; the second part gives a more detailed introduction to Natural Approach; the third part elaborates on the application of Natural Approach in the development of English language skills; and finally, it summarizes the current status of the research on this pedagogy.
