Abstract

This study takes Tianjin S University as an example to conduct an in-depth study on the research performance evaluation system of humanities and social science teachers in Chinese universities. Through comprehensive quantitative and qualitative methods, the advantages and existing problems of the evaluation system were comprehensively analyzed. Research has found that the current evaluation system emphasizes the number of papers, project topics, and the level and quantity of rewards, but there is still a lack of recognition of diverse research contributions. It is recommended to further improve the system, expand the scope of academic contribution evaluation, and promote more comprehensive scientific research performance evaluation. This study collected multi-dimensional data on papers, topics, awards, etc., and classified them according to different professional titles. Bayesian algorithms were used to train and establish classification models, providing a relatively mechanical classification reference for optimizing the performance evaluation system of scientific research in Chinese universities. It helps to promote the comprehensive development of educational research in the field of humanities and social sciences. By providing useful insights for decision-makers, administrative managers, and teachers, this study aims to promote the continuous improvement of the research performance evaluation system in Chinese universities, thereby creating a more favorable environment for academic progress and knowledge innovation.
